Privacy policy
Last updated October 23, 2026.
This policy explains what information PHP Version Update ("we", "us") collects when you use phpversionupdate.com and our free tools, and what we do with it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service.
The free tool
When you enter a website address into our tool, that address is sent to our server so we can read the public response your site already returns to any visitor. We use it only to produce your on-screen result. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your data.
- Not stored. The address you check and the result are processed in memory to answer your request and are not saved to a database by us.
- Your own sites. The tool is intended for checking sites you own or are authorised to check.
Information you send us
If you submit a form (for a quote, help request or our newsletter), we receive the details you type — typically your email address and website — so we can reply. Form delivery may be handled by a third-party form provider on our behalf.
Standard technical data
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to serve the site securely and reliably. We use privacy-respecting analytics where enabled, and avoid non-essential tracking cookies.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to operate: our hosting provider (for serving the site and running the tool), and, where used, a form/email provider and an analytics provider. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it. Email us and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
